Organization History and Timeline:

In 1981 a small group of dedicated volunteers lead by community leader Marjorie Dykstra formed the Londonderry Citizens Scholarship Foundation, Inc. The organization was incorporated in the state of New Hampshire, and attained non-profit 501(c) (3) status from the IRS in the same year. The purpose of the organization is to raise funds for the establishment of scholarships for graduates of Londonderry High School. We award several scholarships each year based on academic achievement, financial need and several other standard scholarship criteria. Although most of our awards go to students attending four-year colleges and universities, we also award technical scholarships. In addition, in honor of our founder Marjorie Dykstra, we award an annual scholarship based heavily on community service.

In 1981 the organization became an affiliate of the national organization, Scholarship America. This affiliation still stands today.
